We know the story of the Bros family from Puechredon who had been living on the estate since the XXX century. But history with a capital H finds remains of the Gallo-Roman era in the soil.
In the Middle Age, the place was called de Podiis (Adrien IV, 1156). The arms were made of gold with a spindle shaped spear of silver and sand.

The castle of Castellas, owned by Blanche of Castille, the mother of Saint-Louis juts out over the estate. It is rumoured that a secret passage connects the castle of Puechredon and the ruins of the Castellas.
Later on de Podiis was renamed Podia Flavardi in 1384, then Puechflavard, Pierredon and Puechredon during the troubled times of the war of the Cevennes.
Indeed the Camisards recruited several members and found support and advice that saved them several times from the royal troups.
In August 1703, Cavallier held in Puechredon a solemn assembly. You can still find the famous oaks of the Camisards used as meeting points and more than 800 years old.

A few centuries later, the Cuche family acquires the estate on a sudden decision.
At that time, the estate does not produce any wine anymore and M. Cuche worked to reconstitute the vineyards according to ancient surveys left by L. Gory who was steward in 1843.
From the beginning Michel Cuche planted noble grape varieties and kept an individual cellar while throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon, the trend was towards mass production and cooperative wineries.Today the torch is in the hands of Cyril Cuche.
