The estate of Puechredon is situated on the arid land of the Salaves, with its back to the foothills of the Cevennes. The vineyards growing on the hillside and in the plain are oriented towards the east. The climate is mild Mediterranean.Nested in the reliefs of the garrigue, the vineyards are sheltered from the northern wind and from the floods.
- A progressive warming up of the surface starting from spring,
- A limited water supply,
- A dryness that can affect badly the vineyards in the summer.

The vineyard, entirely rebuilt since the 70's and constituted by grape varieties so-called "improvers", reaches today full maturity. As a consequence, the specificity of a generous land full of garrigue aromas is developed and enhanced.
The orientation towards the east, the land made of a mixture of clay, sand and limestone, and the age of the plantations allow since the 80's the making of wines, which qualities are increasingly respected and recognized throughout the region.

Of the total estate area of 360 hectares, only 62 hectares are covered by vineyards
13 different varieties of grapes are grown on the vineyard. They are constantly monitored so that a rigorous qualitative selection can be performed :Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc, Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Merlot, Caladoc, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Ugni blanc, and more recently Pinot Noir and Mourvedre.
